Luke 19:10

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

As Seventh-day Adventists, we believe that we are called to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and to carry out His mission on this earth. This means that we are also called to seek out and save the lost.

One of the key aspects of this mission is the act of seeking. Jesus did not wait for people to come to Him, but instead, He actively sought out those who were lost and in need of salvation. He went out to the highways and byways, to the marginalized and the outcast, and He showed them the love and grace of God.

As followers of Christ, we must also be willing to seek out those who are lost. This means going beyond our comfort zones and reaching out to those who may be different from us or who may be in difficult situations. It means being intentional about building relationships with those who do not know Christ, showing them His love through our words and actions.

At the same time, we must also be committed to the act of saving. We must share the message of salvation with those who are lost, helping them to find hope and healing in Jesus Christ. We must be willing to walk alongside them, sharing the gospel message in a way that is relevant and meaningful to their lives.

Ultimately, the mission of seeking and saving the lost is a call to action for all of us as followers of Christ. May we be willing to follow in His footsteps, seeking out those who are lost and in need of salvation, and sharing the message of hope and healing with them. May we be faithful in carrying out the mission of Christ, and may we do so with hearts full of love and compassion for all those whom we encounter.
